Production Assistant

DreamWorks Animation is hiring a Production Assistant for its television division in Los Angeles. This role sits inside the general production team, supporting the Line Producer and Production Manager across the day-to-day administrative and logistical needs of animated series production. About the Role

This Production Assistant position operates within DreamWorks TV, where the team produces original animated series distributed globally. The role touches nearly every stage of the production pipeline, from organizing storyboards and design assets to prepping animation materials for overseas studios. On any given day, you are wrangling shipments, distributing timecards, scheduling reviews, and making sure the production team has what it needs before they ask for it.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Line Producer and Production Manager by scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and distributing notes to the production team in a timely manner.
• Organize storyboards and design assets on the server so they are accessible and current for the animation production pipeline.
• Unpack and process incoming shipments for daily reviews, then send notes back to the appropriate parties at the end of each session.
• Prepare animation materials for delivery to overseas studios, following the production schedule and output requirements.
• Coordinate employee moves and assist in the preparation of screenings across the episodic television production cycle.
• Distribute and collect timecards while maintaining clear, professional communication with artists and production staff throughout the studio.

What You Bring

• Previous internship or work experience in CG animation production is preferred, with a genuine curiosity about how the animation pipeline functions end to end.
• Proficiency in Gmail and the Microsoft suite is required; knowledge of Shotgrid and Photoshop is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks across an active production environment without losing attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills suited to working alongside artists, coordinators, and senior production staff.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
