About the Role

This is a freelance contract position within an AI audio production pipeline, contributing directly to how frontier AI systems generate and refine French-language speech. A typical day involves recording scripted French audio in your own studio environment, then critically assessing AI-generated voice outputs for pronunciation accuracy, tonal range, and pacing. The work is fully asynchronous, so it fits around existing session bookings or production commitments without schedule conflicts.

Key Responsibilities

• Record high-quality French voice samples from provided scripts, maintaining consistent performance standards across takes.
• Evaluate AI-generated voice outputs against professional voiceover benchmarks, assessing naturalness, expressiveness, and regional pronunciation accuracy.
• Deliver structured written feedback on synthesized speech quality, equivalent to the notes a voice director would give in a dubbing session.
• Review and refine provided scripts to flag unnatural phrasing or delivery issues before recording begins.
• Work independently within a task-based production workflow, managing your own session schedule and file delivery.
• Apply knowledge of regional French variations, including Canadian, European, and African French, to assess dialect accuracy in AI audio production.

What You Bring

• Native or near-native French fluency, with a performance background in voiceover, narration, dubbing, or audiobook recording.
• A professional microphone and acoustically controlled recording environment capable of delivering broadcast-quality audio.
• A sharp critical ear for pronunciation, pacing, tone, and clarity across different French registers and dialects.
• Familiarity with audio recording or editing software is an asset, though not a hard requirement.
• A demo reel or professional voiceover credits are preferred but not required to apply.
