Chatbase is hiring a Videographer and Editor based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is a sole-department role covering the full video production workflow from field acquisition through post, producing launch content, customer stories, founder-facing social video, and live event coverage. It suits a shooter-editor who works lean, owns the timeline from camera to export, and can match output speed to a product team that ships constantly.

About the Role

You are the video department at Chatbase, an AI platform used by more than 10,000 businesses including Dolby, Roche, and Pearson. The production slate is ongoing and varied: short-form social content, product launch videos, customer testimonials, and executive-facing founder content captured across Toronto, San Francisco, and New York. A typical week moves between pre-production planning, location shoots with minimal crew, and editing sessions in downtown Toronto where the team works in person five days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the complete video production workflow for all Chatbase content, from shot planning and gear prep through picture lock and delivery.
• Shoot and edit product launch videos and campaign content that performs on social platforms without requiring a crew around you.
• Capture and cut customer story productions, conducting on-location interviews and b-roll at client sites across North America.
• Produce founder and executive content, including talking-head formats and event coverage that feeds the company’s sales and brand pipeline.
• Turn editorial around fast enough to support a product team releasing features on a continuous schedule, not a quarterly one.
• Travel frequently to San Francisco, New York, and industry events to document what is happening in real time.

What You Bring

• A portfolio or reel that demonstrates camera operation, lighting decisions, and editing craft across multiple content types.
• Proven ability to shoot and edit short-form and long-form video content independently, without a full production crew on set.
• Proficiency in professional non-linear editing software and a working understanding of color, sound, and delivery specs for social and web.
• Experience producing corporate video production, testimonial content, or branded documentary work at a professional level.
• Comfort with frequent travel and the ability to capture usable footage in uncontrolled, real-world environments.
