Job Position(s): Videographer
Project Type: Commercial
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: $110,000 - $140,000/year

Whop is hiring a Videographer to join its in-house creative team in New York. This role sits at the intersection of documentary production and brand content, with ownership over customer story films, event coverage, and campaign documentation from shoot through final cut. It suits a solo shooter/editor who has built a real body of work in documentary or commercial production and can run a project without a producer holding their hand.

About the Role

Whop’s creative team operates lean, meaning this Videographer owns the full production workflow on every project, from story development and camera operation through editing and delivery. The primary output is documentary-style customer case studies that tell the stories of entrepreneurs building businesses on the platform, alongside brand documentation for events and out-of-home activations. On any given week that might mean scouting a subject, coordinating with an external production partner, or sitting in an edit bay finishing a piece for distribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, produce, and deliver customer case study films end to end, personally handling camera operation, lighting, and editorial in the documentary production style.
  • Work directly with the Head of Media to develop story pitches and manage project timelines from pre-production through final delivery.
  • Own brand documentation across live events, out-of-home campaigns, and partner activations, functioning as a one-person production unit on location.
  • Brief and manage external freelance crew and production partners when projects require additional capacity beyond solo shooter coverage.
  • Build and maintain a content library that compounds Whop’s visual narrative across platforms over time.
  • Identify and surface new story leads within the platform’s creator and entrepreneur community, functioning with the instincts of a field producer.

What You Bring

  • An extensive portfolio of documentary or commercial video production work that demonstrates solo shooting and editing at a professional level.
  • Prior in-house or agency experience within a media or technology company, with credits that show ownership over finished work.
  • Deep familiarity with professional camera systems and proficiency in industry-standard video editing software.
  • The ability to problem-solve on location under pressure, without deferring to a larger production infrastructure.
  • A background in editorial writing or journalism is a genuine plus, not a throwaway bonus.

Why This Role

Whop is a technology company with over $7 billion in annual network activity and more than 100,000 accounts paid out monthly, which means the stories this Videographer tells have real subject matter behind them. The creative team is small and the work directly shapes how the brand is perceived, so the output carries weight. Compensation is $110,000 to $140,000 plus meaningful equity, with perks that include an Equinox membership, daily lunch and dinner, a rent stipend within half a mile of the office, unlimited PTO, and full health, vision, and dental coverage.

If you are a Videographer with a track record in documentary production and want genuine ownership over your work, apply to join Whop today.
