About the Role

This is an event-based videography position focused entirely on production capture, not post. Assignments are primarily weddings scheduled on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with event details and timelines communicated in advance so you can plan your coverage approach. A typical day runs from pre-ceremony getting-ready coverage through reception, with the shooter submitting raw footage after the event and the in-house team handling all editing and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture full event coverage across all major wedding milestones including first looks, ceremonies, vows, speeches, first dances, and candid reception moments.
• Record clean, usable audio throughout the event using on-camera or portable audio equipment suited to changing venue environments.
• Shoot cinematic B-roll of venue details, decor, florals, rings, and stationery to support the editorial team in post-production.
• Operate stabilizers and gimbals as needed to deliver fluid, professional footage in low-light and high-movement wedding environments.
• Coordinate on-site with photographers, DJs, and event coordinators to execute coverage without disrupting the event timeline.
• Submit all raw footage following Complete Weddings + Events upload and file delivery standards after each assignment.

What You Bring

• Prior experience shooting weddings, live events, or professional video production in a documentary or run-and-gun format.
• Ownership of a professional mirrorless or DSLR camera capable of high-quality video capture in variable lighting conditions.
• Working knowledge of exposure, white balance, frame rates, composition, and audio capture without on-set assistance.
• A full kit that includes quality lenses, tripod or monopod, gimbal, audio gear, multiple batteries, and multiple memory cards.
• Reliable transportation to cover Charlotte and surrounding areas on weekend assignments.
