Videographer
- Part Time
- Adelaide, South australia, Australia
AttorneyGeneral's Department
SafeWork SA, a business unit of the Attorney-General’s Department, is hiring a Videographer based in Adelaide, South Australia. This role sits within the communications function and is responsible for end-to-end digital video production, covering everything from concept development and scripting through to camera work and edited delivery across web, social media, and training platforms. It suits a mid-level video production professional who is comfortable translating regulatory and public safety content into accessible visual storytelling without a lot of hand-holding.
About the Role
SafeWork SA operates as the state’s work health and safety regulator, and the Videographer supports that mission by producing content that reaches both internal staff and the broader South Australian public. Day-to-day production workflow includes briefing stakeholders, developing scripts, shooting on location or in controlled environments, and delivering finished edits optimised for digital distribution. This is a full-time, fixed-term contract of up to two years, classified at ASO5 level within the South Australian public sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead concept development and scripting for video productions that communicate workplace safety and regulatory information to diverse public audiences.
- Operate camera and manage lighting setups across a range of production environments, from office interviews to field-based documentary-style shoots.
- Execute post-production workflow independently, including picture editing, colour correction, audio mix, and export for multiple digital platforms.
- Develop multimedia content formatted for websites, social media channels, and workplace training environments, adapting output specs to each platform.
- Manage production schedules and coordinate with internal stakeholders to keep projects on track under limited supervision.
- Maintain a consistent visual and editorial standard across all content that reflects the department’s regulatory authority and public-facing responsibilities.
What You Bring
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end video production, including pre-production planning, principal photography, and post-production delivery.
- Proficiency in professional video editing software and familiarity with digital video production pipelines for social media and web distribution.
- A portfolio that shows work across corporate, government, or documentary production rather than purely commercial or narrative formats.
- A current Australian driver’s licence is required, and the role requires a satisfactory National Police Certificate clearance prior to commencement.
- Capacity to manage occasional out-of-hours shoots and intrastate or interstate travel as production demands.
Why This Role
The Attorney-General’s Department offers structured professional development through twice-yearly performance plans, plus access to flexible working arrangements including work-from-home options. The salary range for this Videographer position is $92,122 to $102,456 plus superannuation, which is a competitive rate for government video production work in Adelaide. Applications close at 11:30pm on Thursday 10 September 2026.
Apply now for the Videographer role at the Attorney-General’s Department and bring your video production experience to work that has genuine public impact in South Australia.
