Videographer

Blue Marble is hiring a Videographer in Ashland, Oregon to lead video production for its consumer toy and educational product lines. This role sits within the in-house creative team and owns the full production workflow, from concept and storyboard through principal photography and final post-production delivery. It suits a working videographer with a background in product-focused commercial or branded content production who is comfortable running a small set and cutting their own footage.

About the Role

Blue Marble produces promotional and marketing video content for its toy and educational product catalog, distributed across digital, social, ecommerce, and retail channels. The Videographer works alongside one other videographer and collaborates daily with copywriters, designers, and the marketing and product development teams. A typical day moves between pre-production planning, on-set shooting with product and child talent, and editing sequences in post-production workflow to weekly deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop storyboards and shot lists from approved scripts, then carry projects through production and final delivery as the primary camera operator and editor.
• Shoot product-focused video content with proper lighting setups, camera movement, and on-set audio capture suited to ecommerce and branded content standards.
• Edit footage in Premiere Pro and apply motion graphics, visual effects, text overlays, and transitions in After Effects to produce polished final deliverables.
• Direct on-camera talent including children, managing set atmosphere to support consistent and usable performances across multiple takes.
• Coordinate voiceover recording sessions with voice talent and integrate audio cleanly into final video edits.
• Maintain shared file structures, footage archives, and project asset organization in collaboration with the second in-house videographer to keep post-production workflow clean and accessible.

What You Bring

• 3 to 5 or more years of experience in videography, video production, or a related commercial or branded content production role.
• A portfolio or reel that demonstrates product video work, with clear evidence of strong lighting, composition, editing, and post-production skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Demonstrated experience running projects from script to storyboard through production and final post-production delivery.
• Familiarity with digital, social, and ecommerce video best practices and current platform specifications.
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop and basic photo editing is a plus for supporting broader creative production needs.
