Walt Disney is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager based in Glendale, CA to lead software delivery across its Advertising Platforms division. This role sits inside Disney’s media technology infrastructure, driving the end-to-end delivery of ad platform software that powers monetization across the company’s streaming and broadcast properties. It suits a seasoned Scrum Lead who has managed complex, multi-team software initiatives and knows how to keep delivery pipelines moving without losing sight of quality or scope.

About the Role

The Senior Technical Program Manager works within Disney’s Advertising Platforms group, a technical department responsible for the software systems that underpin ad delivery across episodic television and streaming distribution. Day to day, this person runs Agile ceremonies, tracks initiative health, and coordinates across engineering, product, and operations teams to move features from kickoff to release. The work directly affects how Disney’s media platforms scale and maintain reliability across a high-volume production and distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end software delivery across advertising platform initiatives, managing scope, schedule, and risk from initiation through closure.
  • Lead Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming across cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Identify delivery risks early, resolve blockers at the team level, and escalate issues to leadership when the production workflow requires it.
  • Monitor and report delivery metrics to executives and stakeholders, keeping initiative health transparent across the ad tech pipeline.
  • Facilitate cross-group alignment meetings that produce clear decisions, not just status updates, across Disney’s distributed technology teams.
  • Influence stakeholders toward process improvements and technical solutions that improve velocity and reliability on the platform.

What You Bring

  • Five or more years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Lead managing software development projects end to end.
  • Deep working knowledge of Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile methods applied to large engineering organizations.
  • Extensive experience with the full software development lifecycle on formal application development programs.
  • Proficiency with standard project management tools used in enterprise technology environments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple technical stakeholders across teams the size and complexity found at a major media studio.

Why This Role

Disney’s Advertising Platforms group operates at the center of how one of the largest media companies in the world monetizes its streaming and broadcast content, giving this Senior Technical Program Manager direct influence over systems that run at significant scale. The company offers medical benefits, bonus eligibility, and long-term incentive units as part of the total compensation package. For a technical program manager with a background in ad tech or media platform delivery, the scope of this work and the production slate behind it are genuinely rare to find in one place.

Apply now for the Senior Technical Program Manager role at Walt Disney and bring your Agile delivery experience to one of the most complex media technology environments in Glendale, CA.
