Hyre is hiring a Video Editor and Digital Marketing Assistant for a fully remote position supporting a client’s social media and app content pipeline. This role sits inside the digital marketing post-production workflow, responsible for cutting short-form social content and producing tutorial videos for a consumer app, with secondary duties covering ad assets, email automation, and website work. It suits an editor who is comfortable owning a weekly content quota independently and can shift between creative post work and digital marketing support without losing momentum.

About the Role

This position operates within a small remote marketing team, working alongside a Marketing Strategy VA and reporting directly to the client for approvals and raw content delivery. A typical week centers on delivering roughly five Instagram Reels and two to three educational videos for the Unsifted App, with remaining hours allocated to digital advertising support and email automation in Klaviyo. The short-form video editing workload drives the schedule, so strong post-production workflow habits and fast turnaround discipline are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit approximately five Instagram Reels per week, applying intentional text synchronization, transitions, and sound design to maximize retention in the short-form video format.
• Cut and publish two to three tutorial or educational videos weekly for the Unsifted App, incorporating captions, callouts, and zooms to meet instructional content standards.
• Maintain organized project file architecture for raw footage, drafts, and final deliverables using consistent naming conventions across all asset folders.
• Upload creative assets to Meta Ads Manager, assist with basic campaign organization, and flag performance issues to the broader marketing team.
• Support a website theme migration by formatting existing content, checking mobile responsiveness, and confirming content consistency across pages.
• Set up and refine Klaviyo email automations, including link testing and user experience improvements within existing email flows.

What You Bring

• Proven experience editing short-form social media content, specifically Instagram Reels, with a portfolio that demonstrates timing and visual storytelling.
• Hands-on proficiency in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or After Effects, plus working knowledge of Canva for asset creation.
• Familiarity with TikTok and YouTube Shorts post-production conventions is a plus, as is experience producing SaaS or app tutorial content.
• Working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager, Klaviyo, and a CMS such as WordPress.
• A dedicated home office with reliable high-speed internet and a backup power source, required for consistent remote delivery.
