It suits an experienced production manager or delivery lead who has worked at the intersection of creative development and technical workflows, and who knows how to keep cross-functional teams moving without direct line authority.

About the Role

The Associate Director, Delivery Lead – Content Innovation reports to the Head of International and Innovation and works closely with the Content Innovation Lead, sitting at the center of a team that spans engineering, product, research, and content production. Day to day, this person is translating creative and research ideas into structured production plans, coordinating contributions from product managers, data scientists, and regional content teams, and representing the team’s work in senior leadership forums. The projects range from early-stage experimental content formats to scaled production pipelines integrating automation into Audible’s audio storytelling workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of technology-driven content experiences, managing timelines, resource allocation, and risk across a portfolio of concurrent production workstreams.
• Translate early-stage creative and research concepts into scoped, prioritized production plans in partnership with the Content Production team and Product and Design functions.
• Coordinate cross-functional input from engineers, product managers, and data scientists across multiple regions, keeping workstreams unblocked and aligned to shared milestones.
• Design and refine production pipelines that integrate experimental tools and workflow automation into the content creation process.
• Synthesize project learnings and represent delivery progress clearly in business reviews and senior leadership forums.
• Build consensus across competing priorities when creative ambition and production constraints need to be brought into alignment.

What You Bring

• Proven track record managing delivery across complex, cross-functional content or media production projects at a senior level.
• Experience working within or alongside product and engineering teams on content technology or digital media initiatives.
• Comfort structuring ambiguous briefs into executable production plans, with direct accountability for schedules and budgets.
• Ability to adapt communication style across creative, technical, and executive stakeholders without losing clarity.
• Familiarity with audio storytelling, digital content production, or episodic content workflows is a genuine advantage.
