Video Editor (Contractor – Part Time)

Maven Clinic is hiring a Video Editor on a part-time contractor basis, working remotely within the United States. This role sits inside the performance creative department, where the primary output is paid social video ads built to convert across Meta and Instagram placements. About the Role

This is a 3-month contract at 20 hours per week, with the possibility of extension depending on production needs and performance. The Video Editor works directly alongside Maven Clinic’s performance marketing and creative strategy teams, translating data from live campaigns into sharper, faster-iterating creative. A typical week involves cutting new ad variants, reviewing performance against thumb-stop and hold rate benchmarks, and turning around revisions quickly enough to stay inside active testing cycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and deliver paid social video ads formatted and optimized for Meta and Instagram placements, with a clear understanding of how aspect ratio, pacing, and opening frames affect platform performance.
• Build creative tests from a metrics-first perspective, using hook rate, CTR, CVR, and thumb-stop rate as primary editorial signals throughout the post-production process.
• Monitor the DTC and women’s wellness competitive landscape to identify emerging content formats while maintaining Maven Clinic’s established brand voice.
• Work inside a rapid test-and-iterate production cycle, moving from cut to analysis to pivot without losing creative quality between rounds.
• Partner with performance and creative strategy teams to translate campaign data into actionable editorial decisions on upcoming ad creative.
• Produce static design assets as needed to support paid social creative beyond video deliverables.

What You Bring

• A portfolio demonstrating range across paid social video formats with documented performance results, not just aesthetic work.
• Fluency in DTC creative strategy and ecommerce video production, with an understanding of how editorial choices affect conversion.
• Experience cutting content in the women’s lifestyle or wellness category is a strong advantage.
• Availability to commit to 20 hours per week, with a preferred start date within 2 weeks of hire.
• Proficiency in standard post-production editing software used in social and digital ad production.
