About the Role

The Video Editor works inside a multidisciplinary production team within the Community Management department, contributing to the digital content output of Refugee Help, a multilingual information platform serving asylum seekers and refugees across the Netherlands. Day to day, you are pulling selects, applying colour correction and audio correction, dropping in subtitles and motion graphics, and formatting final deliverables for multiple aspect ratios and channels. The post-production workflow here is built around social media content cycles, so turnaround speed and format versatility matter as much as editorial craft.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit reels, interview packages, explainer videos, and short-form audiovisual formats for social media distribution across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and WhatsApp.
• Perform colour correction and audio correction on ingested footage to meet broadcast and platform delivery standards.
• Integrate subtitles, title cards, lower thirds, simple animations, and branded graphics into the post-production workflow.
• Apply existing house style templates and brand identity elements consistently across all video output.
• Deliver multiple versions and aspect ratio exports of each asset to satisfy platform-specific technical requirements.
• Work on location at the studio at Bos en Lommerplein in Amsterdam, with occasional travel to external shoot locations as production demands.

What You Bring

• Hands-on experience editing social media content and short-form digital video in a professional production environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or a comparable non-linear editing system.
• Familiarity with basic motion graphics and animation tools to support on-screen graphic integration.
• A working understanding of audio post-production, including dialogue cleanup and sound balancing.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously within an active content production schedule.
