Project Type: Short Film
Job Date: Full Time

Lucky Girl is hiring a full-time Video Editor based in Summerlin, Las Vegas, Nevada. This role sits squarely in short-form post-production, responsible for turning raw daily footage into a high volume of polished vertical content across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. It suits an editor who has built a real track record cutting social content for creators or brands and thinks in terms of hooks and retention, not just assembly cuts.

About the Role

Lucky Girl is a creator-led digital brand built around Soma, a talent with 8 million-plus followers across platforms, and her partner Antoine. The post-production workflow here is less traditional editorial and more content studio pipeline, with the editor working directly alongside the talent a few days per week in a home studio environment in Summerlin, with some remote flexibility once the working rhythm is established. A typical day means processing raw footage from shoots, repurposing long-form material into short-form clips, and delivering multiple finished pieces ready for upload.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit between 10 and 20 short-form vertical videos per day across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, hitting platform specs and aspect ratios on every export.
  • Cut long-form podcast and YouTube source material into standalone short-form clips, engineering strong hooks within the first two to three seconds to maximize watch-time.
  • Apply captions, punchy jump cuts, zooms, b-roll, music, and sound design in line with the Lucky Girl brand voice and short-form post-production best practices.
  • Build and maintain repeatable templates including lower thirds, title frames, and end cards to keep the content library consistent across platforms.
  • Test multiple hook variations and intro formats against the same source clip to generate data on what formats perform, and iterate based on results.
  • Manage all footage organization, project files, and deliverable naming conventions so the content pipeline stays clean and nothing gets lost between shoot days and uploads.

What You Bring

  • One to three or more years editing short-form content for creators or brands, with a portfolio of TikTok, Reels, or Shorts work you can share immediately.
  • Fluency in at least one professional editing application, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or advanced CapCut for short-form post-production workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to frame and cut natively for 9:16 vertical delivery, including caption placement and mobile-first pacing.
  • Experience in lifestyle, wellness, beauty, or spiritual content niches is a genuine plus, as is basic graphic design ability in Canva or Photoshop.

Why This Role

Lucky Girl is building a real content studio operation from the ground up in Las Vegas, which means the editor coming in now has direct influence over how the production workflow and brand look get established. Compensation is $5,000 to $7,000 per month depending on experience, with room to grow based on performance. The start date is as soon as possible, as the studio build is already underway.
