VFX Producer

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Producer at Pitch Black Creative, this VFX Producer works across multidisciplinary department teams to keep creative output and commercial targets aligned. Day-to-day, that means running review schedules, managing delivery plans, tracking financial forecasts, and staying ahead of scope creep before it becomes a problem. The role spans the full project lifecycle, from early bidding conversations through to final delivery and client sign-off.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead assigned VFX projects from initial award through final delivery, owning milestones, schedules, and delivery plans at every stage.
• Monitor project budgets, profitability, and financial forecasts, identifying risks early and building mitigation plans before they affect delivery.
• Drive day-to-day client communication, including managing review cycles, setting delivery expectations, and maintaining clear creative feedback loops.
• Partner with Heads of Department and Department Managers to balance capacity, creative quality, and client requirements across the VFX pipeline.
• Proactively manage project scope, timelines, and dependencies to keep post-production workflow on track across all active projects.
• Escalate budget, delivery, and client relationship risks to the Executive Producer when required, and contribute to bidding and strategic forecasting.

What You Bring

• Substantial experience as a VFX Producer or Senior Producer in a post-production or visual effects studio environment.
• A proven track record managing budgets and schedules across multiple concurrent projects in commercial or episodic television production.
• Strong working knowledge of VFX production management tools and scheduling software used in professional studio pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships throughout a production, from brief through delivery.
• Experience working alongside Heads of Department to manage resourcing and capacity across multidisciplinary creative teams.
