Key Responsibilities

• Own the scripted content development pipeline end to end, maintaining a forward-looking slate of concepts, beat sheets, outlines, and production-ready scripts that keeps physical production fully supplied.
• Write and rewrite scripts hands-on, diagnosing story problems at the level of hook, stakes, character motivation, pacing, and emotional payoff rather than delegating notes without doing the work.
• Use YouTube analytics including audience retention, click-through rate, and watch time to inform creative decisions and feed weekly performance reviews into actionable changes.
• Partner with the Distribution team on titles, thumbnails, and channel programming strategy, treating packaging as part of the creative process rather than a downstream task.
• Manage the financial implications of creative choices across staffing, locations, sets, and shoot schedules, working directly with Production and Finance to protect margin without gutting the content.
• Recruit, develop, and hold accountable a lean writers room, building repeatable systems for ideation, script approvals, and production handoffs that can sustain five scripts per week at a consistent quality level.

What You Bring

• Ten or more years of showrunning or equivalent creative leadership experience, with a track record of delivering scripted content on demanding production schedules.
• Demonstrated writing credits in scripted episodic television, digital series, or high-volume scripted content production, with samples that show range across drama and character-driven storytelling.
• Fluency with YouTube platform mechanics, including how algorithm changes, thumbnail strategy, and retention curves affect scripted digital content performance.
• Experience managing writers room budgets, production costs, and the business math behind a scripted content operation.
• Comfort applying AI tools and workflow automation to development and production processes without compromising creative output.
