Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full video production lifecycle from pre-production planning and scripting through to final delivery across digital and social channels.
• Direct shoots independently, making on-set decisions around framing, lighting setups, and camera operation to achieve broadcast-quality results.
• Manage post-production workflow including editing, colour grading, and audio finishing to deliver polished final cuts on schedule.
• Mentor junior colleagues and student content creators, raising the technical and editorial standard of video output across the team.
• Develop and drive video strategy that supports the university’s digital communications goals across recruitment and institutional campaigns.
• Evaluate and introduce new multimedia tools and production techniques to keep the department’s output current and effective.

What You Bring

• Demonstrable experience producing and directing branded or institutional video content at a senior level, with a portfolio that shows range across formats.
• Strong command of professional camera systems and production equipment used in corporate video production and documentary-style content.
• Proficiency in industry-standard post-production software, including non-linear editing platforms such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Experience mentoring or managing other creatives within a video production team or department.
• A working understanding of multi-platform distribution and how video content performs across digital, social, and web environments.
