About the Role

The Senior Production Manager, Domestic Football sits inside a dedicated sports production team that collectively reaches over 130 million viewers monthly across free-to-air, pay-TV, and streaming platforms. Day to day, this person is coordinating production schedules, managing vendor relationships, overseeing freelance crews on live outside broadcast productions, and acting as the operational link between engineering teams and key rights-holding stakeholders. It is a hands-on production management role that also carries line management responsibility for junior production staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of Production Managers and junior staff, including project allocation, mentoring, and conducting annual performance reviews.
• Manage comprehensive production budgets and schedules across live outside broadcast events, ensuring financial reporting is current and invoicing accountability is maintained.
• Enforce consistent technical production processes, risk assessments, and health and safety protocols across all live broadcast events.
• Build and sustain working relationships with freelance crews, broadcast vendors, sporting federations, and organising committees.
• Lead production management workstreams during peak live sports periods, stepping in as a hands-on production manager when event volumes require it.
• Drive communication across international internal teams and external stakeholders to keep multi-territory live sports production running to schedule.

What You Bring

• Demonstrable experience as a Production Manager on live outside broadcast productions, with a track record across major sports events or episodic live television.
• Strong working knowledge of broadcast technology systems across both outside broadcast and studio environments.
• Proven contract negotiation skills and direct budget management experience across multi-event production slates.
• Experience coordinating freelance crews and production logistics across international productions.
• Ability to manage confidential information and work directly with senior executives and on-screen talent.
