Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic development of the Birdsong catalogue, identifying acquisition targets and new composer signings that align with screen music and concert music revenue goals.
• Manage day-to-day publishing administration including registration, royalty collection, and rights clearance across performing rights organisations and sub-publishing partners.
• Oversee sync licensing negotiations, pitching catalogue to music supervisors and production companies working across episodic television, film scoring, and documentary production.
• Maintain and develop long-term composer relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for contracted writers on all publishing and contractual matters.
• Coordinate with Faber Music and other publishing partners on co-publishing arrangements, joint catalogue initiatives, and shared revenue structures.
• Analyse income streams across mechanical, performance, and sync revenue to identify growth areas and report on catalogue performance at a senior level.

What You Bring

• Proven track record in music publishing at a senior level, with direct experience across screen music licensing and composer contract negotiation.
• Working knowledge of performing rights organisations including PRS for Music and MCPS, and how they interface with international sub-publishing networks.
• Experience pitching and placing catalogue in film or television production contexts, with established relationships among music supervisors or sync licensing teams.
• Familiarity with publishing administration software and royalty management systems used in professional catalogue management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple composer relationships simultaneously while maintaining commercial targets.
