About the Role

Reporters here cover a mix of breaking cultural news, media stories, and original exclusives, working closely with editors and sourcing material with proper attribution practices built into every workflow. A typical day involves arriving with pitches already formed, writing quickly to news cycle demands, and occasionally conducting video interviews via Zoom or in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Cover culture and media news of the day by writing quickly and precisely from Fox News channel coverage, original reporting, and aggregated sources with full attribution.
• Source and develop original and exclusive stories with specific headlines and angles in mind, working contacts and cultivating sources across the media and culture beat.
• Produce several publishable stories per day in a consistent, accessible style suited to the FoxNews.com audience.
• Conduct video interviews both via Zoom and in person, with occasional field reporting assignments that require travel.
• Write and optimize content using SEO best practices to support digital news discoverability across search platforms.
• Come to each shift prepared with story pitches, headlines, and a clear sense of what is moving in the news cycle.

What You Bring

• A bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field, or equivalent professional newsroom experience.
• A published author page with accessible bylines that demonstrate your range and output as a working reporter.
• Strong command of AP style and a clean, precise writing voice built for digital news environments.
• Working knowledge of SEO-focused content strategies as applied to breaking news and cultural coverage.
• Basic Photoshop skills and comfort with iPhone video editing for field and digital production needs.
• The availability to work some holidays and respond under breaking news conditions when the story demands it.
