A typical day could involve a location recce in the morning, a talking-head interview shoot in the afternoon, and a technical handover to the edit suite before the end of day.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate camera on location shoots across the UK, selecting appropriate lenses and exposure settings for uncontrolled lighting environments.
• Design and execute practical lighting setups for interview and documentary-style social video production without a dedicated gaffer on set.
• Record and monitor location sound using boom, lavalier, and portable recorder configurations to ensure clean dialogue capture.
• Translate creative briefs from producers into shot lists and visual approaches suited to vertical and square social formats.
• Manage your own equipment prep, transport, and on-set troubleshooting across multi-location shooting schedules.
• Deliver organised, labelled rushes to the post-production workflow in agreed formats and within turnaround windows.

What You Bring
