Project Type: Feature Film
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000,/year

A24 is hiring a Production Tax and Incentives Executive based out of Los Angeles (West Hollywood) or New York. This role sits within A24’s Production Finance infrastructure and is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of production incentives across the studio’s film, television, and unscripted slate, from initial entity structuring through audit, certification, and monetization. It suits a tax or incentives professional who has spent meaningful time inside a studio environment and understands how production accounting and finance intersect at the project level.

About the Role

You’ll work across A24’s entire production slate, meaning feature film productions, episodic television, and unscripted projects, partnering with Production Finance, on-set accounting teams, Legal, and Corporate Tax to keep incentive programs on track and compliant. Day to day, this means reviewing production budgets, managing third-party CPA auditors, tracking GL tagging against program rules, and fielding incentive queries from producers and accountants who are mid-shoot and need real answers fast. The role carries genuine ownership, with each assigned production guided through its incentive lifecycle from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide assigned film and television productions through every stage of the domestic and international production incentive lifecycle, from application and entity structuring through to final monetization.
  • Review production budgets and cost reports for proper tagging and incentive assumptions, providing direct feedback to production accountants and producers.
  • Partner with on-set accounting teams to confirm that GL tagging is consistent with program rules and that all compliance deadlines are met throughout the production workflow.
  • Manage relationships with third-party CPA auditors and tax service providers, overseeing documentation gathering, preliminary opinion letters, and submission timelines.
  • Research domestic and international incentive program changes and prepare summaries for internal leadership, with a focus on project-level credits across all production types.
  • Work with Legal and Finance to ensure tax credit financing documentation is prepared ahead of applicable deadlines, and assist in reviewing tax returns that include credit claims or incentive-related reporting.

What You Bring

  • Six or more years of experience in a production incentives or tax role at a studio or production company.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or tax is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Movie Magic Budgeting at the production budget review level.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel, and Airtable for tracking incentive data across a multi-title production slate.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple productions simultaneously, with strong attention to compliance detail and reporting accuracy.

Why This Role

A24 operates one of the most distinctive production slates in the industry, spanning arthouse features, prestige episodic television, and unscripted content, which means the incentive work here covers genuine range across production types and territories. The target salary range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000, with actual starting salary dependent on experience. For a tax and incentives professional looking to work inside a studio that is actively growing its production infrastructure, this is a role with real scope.
