About the Role

The Production Executive sits within WBD Sports and works across a broad range of live and non-live sports productions, coordinating between editorial, technology, finance, legal and external partners. Day-to-day, this means owning production timelines, managing senior production managers, and holding direct accountability for annual budgets and monthly forecasting. The role functions as the senior production authority across multiple sports simultaneously, translating editorial strategy into deliverable broadcast output.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, execution and delivery of multi-sport productions across the UK and Europe, ensuring alignment with editorial vision and business strategy throughout the live sports production workflow.
• Hold full accountability for annual production budgets, including monthly cost forecasting, variance tracking and identifying efficiency improvements across the portfolio.
• Coordinate and support Senior Production Managers, providing operational oversight across wider production management teams working across multiple sports simultaneously.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, provisioning and payment for freelance production crew and on-air talent, in line with external workforce procedures.
• Act as the primary production partner across cross-functional departments including Technology, Finance, Digital and Legal to resolve issues and maintain delivery standards.
• Lead and support production change initiatives that respond to evolving business needs across broadcast and digital sports production environments.

What You Bring

• Extensive senior production management experience delivering sports productions across UK and European broadcast markets.
• Demonstrated track record of owning and forecasting complex, multi-sport production budgets at a senior level.
• Proven experience managing senior managers within broadcast television production or sports operations teams.
• Strong technical understanding of sports television and digital production pipelines, including live broadcast environments.
• Ability to maintain delivery under pressure in live production settings, resolving operational problems quickly and clearly.
