Line Producer (Dneg VFX)
- Full Time
- London, United Kingdom
DNEG
DNEG is hiring a Line Producer to join their VFX production team in London. This role sits at the operational centre of the VFX pipeline, owning the shot and asset schedules that keep feature film deliveries on track across CG, DFX, and VFX departments. It suits an experienced VFX production professional who knows how to read a floor, manage competing department priorities, and hold a schedule together when client milestones start stacking up.
About the Role
The Line Producer works directly alongside the Show Production Manager and Supervisors to translate client delivery targets into actionable weekly and three-week rolling schedules across all departments. This is a floor-level production role at one of the industry’s most prolific feature film VFX studios, meaning the work touches live shots daily and requires constant coordination between coordinators, artists, and client-facing producers. A typical day involves attending supervisor reviews, updating milestone tracking, flagging resource conflicts, and redistributing workloads before problems reach the client.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and present a rolling three-week production schedule every Wednesday, ensuring department targets align with client milestone dates and internal quotas.
- Attend daily sessions with VFX, DFX, and CG Supervisors to relay client targets and feed information back to Department Coordinators in real time.
- Identify resourcing gaps and schedule dependencies that could affect multiple shots, then work with the SPM to propose reassignments before they become delivery risks.
- Maintain continuous milestone documentation, including status summaries for the current week and the following three weeks, based on direct department feedback.
- Support Producers and the SPM on change orders and bidding by providing schedule impact analysis after client review sessions.
- Mentor production coordinators, giving structured feedback and building their capacity to manage scheduling tasks with greater independence over time.
What You Bring
- Proven experience as a Line Producer within a VFX studio environment, with a track record across feature film production specifically.
- Deep working knowledge of the VFX feature film production pipeline, including how CG, DFX, and compositing departments function and interconnect.
- Hands-on experience with Autodesk ShotGrid, Flow, or equivalent production database tools used for shot tracking and scheduling.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel for schedule management and cross-department reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage artists and coordinators across a busy post-production workflow under shifting client timelines.
- A diploma or equivalent education, with an appetite for learning new production software as the VFX pipeline continues to evolve.
Why This Role
DNEG has credits across some of the most technically complex feature films in recent production history, making this Line Producer position a genuine opportunity to work at scale on projects that push the VFX pipeline hard. The company operates across multiple global facilities, and London remains a core hub for its feature film output, offering real career depth for production professionals who want to grow within a large VFX organisation. This is a staff role with meaningful mentorship responsibility, not a short contract with a narrow remit.
Apply now for the Line Producer role at DNEG and bring your VFX production scheduling experience to one of London’s leading visual effects studios.
