Netflix is hiring a Production Coordinator for its Animation Studios team based in Sydney, Australia. This role sits within the production department of an upcoming CG animated feature film, where you will track artist workflows, manage floor schedules, and keep daily output aligned against delivery targets. About the Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, this Production Coordinator position operates at the department level, working directly with artists, craft supervisors, and heads of department to keep the production moving on schedule. The bulk of the work involves building and maintaining floor schedules, tracking asset and shot progress in ShotGrid, and preparing content for supervisor reviews. On any given day you might be writing up ETC reports, following up on creative direction from a review, or coordinating a cross-department request that is sitting in someone’s queue.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain daily floor schedules in collaboration with the Production Supervisor, Craft Supervisor, and Head of Department, assigning tasks and ensuring artists have the materials they need to hit targets.
• Track asset statuses and shot progress against the production schedule, deliver timely ETC reports, and communicate variances clearly to the broader production team.
• Coordinate department reviews by organising content and agendas, taking notes, and following up with artists to confirm creative direction has been understood and actioned.
• Escalate scheduling, technical, or wellbeing concerns that could affect team output or upcoming milestones before they become larger problems.
• Liaise with other Production Coordinators across departments to communicate cross-department requests and flag issues affecting your team, supporting global collaboration across Netflix Animation Studios locations.
• Review and approve artist timesheets weekly, and provide training and support to coordinators and production assistants as needed.

What You Bring

• Two or more years of production experience on CG, 2D, or stop-motion feature films or comparable productions.
• Studio experience within an animation, VFX, or games environment, with animated feature film or series credits preferred.
• Working knowledge of ShotGrid, also known as Autodesk Flow Production Tracking, for asset and shot management.
• Solid understanding of a CG pipeline from the assets stage through lighting and compositing, including awareness of department dependencies and handoffs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently across a hybrid production environment.
