This role sits inside a high-volume aerospace production environment, managing the physical and electronic movement of parts, kits, and work orders through a multi-stage factory floor. It suits a coordinator with a background in production operations, manufacturing workflow, or technical production who is comfortable owning logistics problems and building the systems to prevent them from recurring.

About the Role

The Production Coordinator works within the Amazon Leo Operations team, which produces the hardware for Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. This is a 2nd shift position running Monday through Friday, 4:00 pm to 12:30 am, placing you at the center of the production workflow during overnight hours when floor-level decision making falls squarely on the coordinator. A typical day involves staging materials, resolving work order discrepancies, tracking parts through the MES system, and communicating status updates to production leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the scheduling, staging, and kitting of materials to all active areas of production and test within the aerospace production workflow.
• Monitor and move parts electronically through the MES system at each transaction point, ensuring traceability is maintained across the production floor.
• Work with planning teams to resolve real-time floor shortages on active work orders and maintain floor stock inventory levels as required.
• Interface with the test lab to manage product queuing and staging, reducing non-value-add communication across the production pipeline.
• Support material certification management by preventing the use of uncertified components and assisting with return-to-stock and inventory purge actions.
• Develop and maintain reports tracking part status, deliverables, and production constraints for internal leadership review on a weekly basis.

What You Bring

• Prior experience in aerospace, technical, or high-volume production coordination with direct floor-level responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of MES systems and electronic work order management within a production operations environment.
• Familiarity with lean methodologies, six sigma principles, or demand planning processes applied to a manufacturing workflow.
• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee, due to applicable export control laws and regulations.
• Ability to work a consistent 2nd shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 4:00 pm to 12:30 am.
