Job Position(s): News Videographer
Project Type: Film & Television
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: $60 - $80/year

One America News Network is hiring a News Videographer for its Washington, D.C. bureau, working directly within the network’s news production operation. This role sits at the intersection of field acquisition and post-production workflow, responsible for capturing broadcast-ready footage and cutting finished segments for air. It suits a working camera operator with editorial instincts who can keep pace with a live news cycle without losing technical precision.

About the Role

The News Videographer joins the D.C. production team at OANN, covering the full chain from shoot to delivery across the network’s daily news output. A typical day moves between field assignments, studio setups, and edit bay work, often within the same shift. The role demands someone who treats camera operation and non-linear editing as equally core competencies, not separate specialties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating broadcast video cameras across a range of assignments, including on-location news gathering and in-studio production in the Washington, D.C. office.
  • Designing equipment configurations for each shoot, handling transport logistics, and executing full production equipment setup on location.
  • Completing computer-based edits to video segments across multiple broadcast formats, turning raw footage into polished, air-ready content under deadline.
  • Identifying and prioritizing the strongest visual and editorial moments within breaking news coverage to serve the network’s broadcast news production needs.
  • Maintaining and managing production gear to ensure reliability across both studio and field environments.
  • Supporting additional production duties as assigned by the bureau’s editorial and production leadership.

What You Bring

  • Hands-on experience operating professional broadcast cameras in a news production or television production context.
  • Proficiency in non-linear editing software used in broadcast post-production workflows, with the ability to cut and deliver segments quickly.
  • A working knowledge of lighting, audio, and gear setup for both field and studio shoots.
  • A track record of working in a news gathering environment where segment turnaround times are measured in hours, not days.
  • Strong organizational skills around equipment management and location logistics.

Why This Role

OANN operates a full broadcast news network with a bureau positioned at the center of national political coverage, giving this position consistent access to high-profile news production assignments. The D.C. location puts the News Videographer inside one of the most active beats in American television news. For a camera operator looking to build a dense reel in broadcast journalism, the volume and variety of coverage here is genuine.

Apply now for the News Videographer position at One America News Network and bring your production skills to one of D.C.’s working broadcast bureaus.
