About the Role

The News 12 Videographer operates within a hyper-local television news environment that feeds both regional broadcasts and a national streaming service. Day-to-day work includes ENG field production, live transmission coverage, and finishing edited packages for air. You will rotate across breaking news, scheduled assignments, and production shoots depending on the news cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit news packages, live coverage segments, and promotional content for all News 12 broadcast and streaming services.
• Operate ENG cameras and handle all associated audio capture to produce broadcast-ready footage from raw media.
• Drive and operate live-transmission vehicles, managing the technical setup required to feed content back to the station in real time.
• Edit finished segments using Adobe Premiere, cutting raw field footage into polished broadcast deliverables on tight news deadlines.
• Maintain assigned production equipment including cameras, lighting gear, editors, and peripheral hardware, coordinating repairs as needed.
• Work within current and emerging newscast technologies, staying current with the technical standards of live television news production.

What You Bring

• Minimum one year of experience in television field production, with editing experience required.
• Hands-on proficiency with Adobe Premiere and a working knowledge of ENG camera operation and photographic technique.
• Familiarity with news operations, live broadcast workflows, and the conventions of local television news.
• An Associate’s degree in Broadcasting or Television Production is preferred, with a Master’s degree considered a plus.
• A valid driver’s license in good standing, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
