Job Position(s): Music Video: Production / Location Manager / 1st AD
Project Type: Commercial
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Georgia Production Partnership (GPP) is hiring a Music Video Production / Location Manager / 1st AD based in Philadelphia, PA. This combined role sits at the intersection of production management and set operations, covering location scouting and permitting, scheduling, and floor-managing the shoot from prep through wrap on music video productions. It suits a mid-level to senior producer who has run sets independently and knows how to wear multiple hats without losing grip on any of them.

About the Role

This position operates across the production and directing departments on music video shoots, where the pace is compressed and every prep decision hits the screen. Day to day, you are sourcing and locking locations, pulling permits, building the one-liner, and calling the floor as 1st AD, which means you are the person holding the schedule together from first shot to final martini. Georgia Production Partnership (GPP) brings this role into projects where a lean, experienced operator who can own multiple production functions is more effective than separate department heads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scout, tech scout, negotiate access, and secure permits for all shoot locations in and around Philadelphia, PA, coordinating directly with city film offices and property owners.
  • Build and maintain the shooting schedule, breaking down the director’s treatment and artist requirements into a workable one-liner and day-out-of-days.
  • Call the floor as 1st AD, managing set flow, background, and talent turnaround while keeping the director on time and on shot list.
  • Oversee production logistics including crew calls, transport, and location moves across a typically single-day or two-day music video shoot.
  • Liaise between the label, artist management, and the production team to manage deliverables, clearances, and any last-minute creative changes.
  • Prepare and distribute call sheets, movement orders, and location agreements as part of standard music video production workflow.

What You Bring

  • Demonstrable credits as a 1st AD, production manager, or location manager on music video productions or short-format commercial work.
  • Direct experience pulling film permits in Pennsylvania or comparable urban markets.
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools standard to short-format production, including Movie Magic Scheduling or equivalent.
  • Ability to function as a single point of operational authority on set without a full production office infrastructure behind you.
  • Familiarity with union and non-union crew environments on music video and commercial sets.

Why This Role

GPP works across a range of music video and short-format projects, giving someone in this seat real variety in artists, directors, and production contexts rather than a single recurring client. The combined title reflects how music video production actually operates at the working level, and the role is structured to match that reality. No compensation range was listed for this position.
