Associate Product Manager

About the Role

The Enterprise Product Team builds and maintains internal tools used across NBCUniversal’s film, television, and streaming operations, including Peacock, NBC, and the Universal Studio Group. As an Associate Product Manager, your day-to-day centers on maintaining feature roadmaps, running grooming sessions with engineering counterparts, and translating business requests from teams like Ad Sales, Programming, and Operations into documented user stories and product features. This is a product management role embedded in the production technology workflow of one of the largest media companies operating today.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle for platforms supporting content distribution, data warehousing, and business intelligence across NBCU’s television and streaming pipeline.
• Own and maintain feature roadmaps, prioritizing backlog items based on operational needs from departments including Programming, Ad Sales, and Architecture.
• Lead grooming sessions and produce fully documented user stories and acceptance criteria in JIRA for all assigned products.
• Partner with solutions architects and engineering leads to identify technical approaches that meet business requirements across multi-product initiatives.
• Serve as the primary product contact for client-facing communications covering development progress, deliverables, and release timelines.
• Mentor Product Specialists on the team, providing guidance on requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and product documentation standards.

What You Bring

• Prior experience as a product manager or product specialist, ideally within media technology, episodic television production systems, or streaming platform development.
• Hands-on proficiency with JIRA for backlog management, story documentation, and sprint tracking.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements from non-technical stakeholders into actionable product specifications.
• Familiarity with data warehouse platforms and business intelligence tools in a broadcast or streaming context.
• Strong understanding of agile development methodology as applied to enterprise software products in a media environment.

The compensation range for this position is USD 95,000 to USD 115,000 annually.
