Multimedia Video Editor

The Humane League is hiring a Multimedia Video Editor based in Philadelphia, PA, to join their in-house production unit, THL Studios. This is a post-production focused role, centered on editing campaign-driven video content, social media deliverables, and basic motion graphics that support global advocacy work. The role suits an editor with a strong grasp of post-production workflow who is comfortable owning projects from rough cut through final delivery.

About the Role

The Multimedia Video Editor sits within THL Studios and works directly under the Senior Video Strategist and Editor, with a reporting line to the Art Director. Day-to-day work involves editing campaign videos and social cuts, organizing and maintaining a video asset library, and contributing to pre-production through storyboards and concept development. On occasion, this editor will travel, one to three trips per year, to support on-set production as a camera operator or general production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute primary editing duties across campaign videos, social media cuts, and internal assets, ensuring all deliverables meet brand standards and platform specs.
• Sync audio, organize raw footage, and maintain a structured video asset library throughout the post-production pipeline.
• Apply accessibility standards to every deliverable, including accurate captioning and codec optimization for multiple distribution platforms.
• Develop mood boards, storyboards, and visual outlines during pre-production to translate campaign briefs into clear production plans.
• Integrate AI tools into post-production workflow to improve turnaround times and overall editorial efficiency.
• Provide on-set production support, including camera operation, on select domestic and international shoots alongside the Senior Video Strategist and Editor.

What You Bring

• Demonstrable experience in post-production editing, with a reel showing campaign, documentary, or digital content work.
• Proficiency in industry-standard editing software, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects experience is expected for basic animation and motion work.
• Hands-on experience managing multi-format deliverables across social media platforms with varying codec and resolution requirements.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted post-production tools and a practical approach to incorporating them into existing editorial pipelines.
• Camera operation experience sufficient to serve as production support on location shoots.
