Meet with Skydance Animation at Lightbox Expo (Inquiry)

Job Position(s): Meet with Skydance Animation at Lightbox Expo (Inquiry)

Skydance Media is inviting animation professionals to meet with their team at Lightbox Expo in Santa Monica, Los Angeles through a scheduled one-on-one inquiry meeting. This opportunity is specifically aimed at connecting artists and production talent with Skydance Animation’s studio team, whether to explore full-time openings, get eyes on a portfolio, or learn more about the animation studio’s current direction. It suits mid-level to senior animation professionals who are actively looking to transition into or advance within feature film animation.

About the Role

This is a structured meeting inquiry designed for professionals working across animation disciplines, including character animation, development, production, and visual storytelling. Skydance Animation is building out its feature film production pipeline, and these meetings are a direct channel into understanding where the studio has openings and what they are looking for in candidates. Meetings are scheduled approximately one week before Lightbox Expo, and availability is limited, so submitting the interest form early matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend a scheduled one-on-one meeting with Skydance Animation representatives to discuss your background and fit for current or upcoming full-time roles.
• Present your portfolio or resume for direct feedback from the studio’s hiring team within the context of their animation pipeline.
• Discuss your specific discipline, whether in character animation, rigging, look development, story, or production management, as it relates to the studio’s feature film slate.
• Engage with Skydance Media team members at the booth for general studio informational sessions if a private meeting cannot be scheduled.
• Submit your interest form before the October 16th deadline at 11:59pm PT to be considered for a scheduled meeting slot.

What You Bring

• A current portfolio or resume relevant to feature film animation or episodic animation production.
• Experience in at least one core animation studio discipline, such as animation, lighting, VFX, story, or production coordination.
• Familiarity with standard animation studio workflows and software used in feature animation pipelines.
• A clear sense of which full-time roles or departments you are targeting within an animation studio environment.

Why This Role

Skydance Animation is an independent animation studio building an original feature film slate with a team that includes established names from major animation studios. Meeting directly with their team at Lightbox Expo is a rare chance to get real portfolio feedback and have an honest conversation about where you fit in their pipeline. These conversations carry weight because the people in the room are the ones making hiring decisions.

Submit your interest form before October 16th to be considered for a Meet with Skydance Animation at Lightbox Expo scheduled meeting, and stop by the Skydance Media booth regardless of whether a one-on-one is confirmed.
