Netflix is hiring a Manager, Physical Production for Live-Action Scripted Series in their Kids and Family division, based in Los Angeles, California. This role sits within Netflix’s Live-Action Kids and Family Series Production Management team and is responsible for overseeing scripted episodic television produced through third-party production companies, from initial setup through final delivery. About the Role

The manager works directly with content executives, showrunners, and external partner studios to shepherd live-action scripted series through every phase of production, including development evaluation, physical production, and post-production delivery. Day-to-day work involves vetting budgets and schedules, advising on co-productions and acquisitions, and keeping internal stakeholders informed on cost and delivery status across several projects running simultaneously. The role also connects with the Unscripted Series team to support the broader Kids Live Action slate at Netflix.

Key Responsibilities

• Review scripts and early creative materials to define series production strategy and produce budget estimates that track from development through budget lock.
• Vet and select partner production companies and studios, and evaluate key hires at those companies to ensure crew meets the demands of episodic television production.
• Work with showrunners and line producers to stress-test show budgets and production schedules, identifying risks before they become problems on the floor.
• Track costs in collaboration with Finance and keep all relevant stakeholders current on budget status throughout the production lifecycle.
• Coordinate with internal Post and Localization teams alongside external production crews to lock delivery schedules and troubleshoot changes as they arise.
• Lead or support the search and hire of key production staff, and identify vendors that align with the creative vision, location requirements, and financing structure of each project.

What You Bring

• 7 or more years of production management experience on scripted series, either in the field, at a network, or within a production company.
• Line producer or head of production level credits on scripted episodic television are expected at this level.
• Demonstrated ability to carry multiple productions across different stages simultaneously, from evaluation through delivery.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace applications including Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Mail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex production logistics for both internal and external audiences.
