This is a solo-operator content production role sitting at the intersection of field production and short-form post, responsible for shooting and cutting daily social content across youth sports events, practices, and brand activations. About the Role

The Houston Based Videographer works directly within the content and marketing function at Texas Sports Academy, a K-12 school built around elite athletic development and a compressed academic model that frees students for full afternoon training. Your output feeds Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts on a near-daily cadence, which means a typical day runs from a morning shoot at a tournament or practice to an afternoon edit session with same-day delivery as the target. You own the full short-form production workflow, from field capture through final export.

Key Responsibilities

• Shoot daily on location across youth sports tournaments, games, practices, and brand events throughout Houston and surrounding areas, planning each shoot to yield multiple usable pieces from a single outing.
• Capture the complete story arc at each event, including player highlights, coach and athlete interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and atmospheric B-roll that gives editors real material to work with.
• Cut short-form vertical content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, handling pacing, sound design, captions, and on-screen text natively for each platform.
• Deliver same-day or next-day edits on event content so posts go live while audience interest is still at peak, maintaining a tight short-form post-production workflow.
• Own the full asset library, including footage organization, file backups, and a searchable archive of raw and edited media that the broader team can access without hunting through drives.
• Track social trends and emerging vertical video formats, and apply relevant techniques directly to the content you are producing rather than flagging them for someone else to act on.

What You Bring

• Proven experience shooting sports or live event video production, with a reel that demonstrates clean field work under variable lighting and tight conditions.
• Strong short-form editing skills with working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or equivalent post-production software.
• Demonstrated ability to handle same-day turnaround edits across social video formats without sacrificing output quality.
• Experience managing a media asset library, including file naming conventions, backup protocols, and organized folder architecture.
• Working knowledge of platform-specific specs and best practices for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
