Job Type
Manchester United FC is hiring a Global Football Video Editor based in Manchester, England, UK. This role sits within the Content and Production department, where the editor is responsible for delivering finished edits across MUTV, YouTube, the club app, and social media channels for a global supporter base numbering in the hundreds of millions. It suits a post-production professional who is comfortable moving between long-form storytelling and short-form social content without losing editorial quality in either format.
About the Role
The Global Football Video Editor joins an established Content and Production team, working directly under the Production Manager alongside producers, camera operators, motion designers, and social media leads. Day-to-day output ranges from match-day edits and player features to documentary-style club content distributed across broadcast and digital platforms. This is a high-volume post-production workflow role where editorial judgment and deadline discipline carry equal weight.
Key Responsibilities
- Cut and deliver polished edits for MUTV and digital distribution, maintaining consistent editorial standards across broadcast and social formats.
- Manage post-production timelines for multiple concurrent projects, coordinating handoffs between production, design, and social teams.
- Shape narrative structure on long-form club features and player storytelling pieces, making creative decisions that serve audience engagement.
- Adapt master edits into platform-specific cuts optimised for YouTube, short-form social, and in-app content.
- Work with motion designers and graphic teams to integrate lower thirds, title sequences, and branded elements within the edit.
- Review and select footage from match-day and training shoots, making selects that support both editorial pace and factual accuracy.
What You Bring
- Demonstrable experience in a professional post-production environment, ideally within sports broadcast, digital media, or factual television.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, with familiarity across the wider Adobe Creative Suite.
- A portfolio of credits showing range across long-form features and short-form social video editing.
- Ability to manage a personal edit schedule across overlapping deadlines without supervision.
- Understanding of aspect ratio requirements, codec delivery specs, and platform formatting across broadcast and digital channels.
Why This Role
Manchester United FC produces content at a scale few sports organisations match, with distribution reaching supporters across every major platform and territory. The Content and Production team operates with genuine editorial ambition, treating club storytelling as a discipline rather than a marketing function. For a video editor looking to build credits in sports media production at an international level, the volume and variety of output here is substantial.
Apply now for the Global Football Video Editor position at Manchester United FC and bring your editorial skills to one of the most widely followed clubs in the world.
