Project Type: Film & Television
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

CD PROJEKT RED is hiring an Expert In-Game Cinematographer at their Warsaw hub in the Masovian Voivodeship, Poland. This role sits within the Game Capture and Video team, responsible for producing high-quality gameplay footage that feeds directly into trailers, promotional videos, and marketing materials across internal teams and external partners. It suits a senior-level professional who understands both the technical pipeline of game capture and the visual language of cinematic production.

About the Role

The Expert In-Game Cinematographer works inside CD PROJEKT RED’s marketing production workflow, capturing footage from games at various stages of development for use in trailers, key visuals, and partner deliverables. Day to day, this means managing preproduction setup, operating across PC and console capture pipelines, and occasionally designing custom in-engine scenes alongside the Marketing Cinematic Artist. The role carries a mentorship responsibility over junior team members and a cross-functional presence in discussions that shape capture quality standards across the studio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute gameplay capture preproduction, including save preparation, debug environment setup, and shot selection aligned to trailer briefs.
  • Record and deliver final footage across PC and console platforms, including PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo hardware, using appropriate capture equipment and pipelines.
  • Design, iterate, and capture custom in-engine cinematics for use in trailers and other marketing production outputs.
  • Apply a photographic eye to compose, light, and capture screenshots and renders that meet key visual and illustration requirements.
  • Define gameplay capture standards, document workflows, and act as the primary point of expertise for complex technical capture requests within the video production pipeline.
  • Evaluate emerging capture tools and archiving solutions, and share findings and best practices with the broader Video and Photography team.

What You Bring

  • Senior-level experience in gameplay capture or in-game cinematography, with credits across trailer production or game marketing campaigns.
  • Deep working knowledge of console capture pipelines and debug tools across current and next-generation platforms.
  • A strong background in cinematic composition, camera work, and lighting within real-time or in-engine environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior artists and provide substantive creative feedback on captured footage and renders.
  • Experience overseeing tool development or production workflows in collaboration with outsourcing partners.

Why This Role

CD PROJEKT RED is the studio behind The Witcher series and Cyberpunk 2077, properties that set a high bar for in-game cinematography and marketing production globally. This position places you at the top of the capture discipline within a studio that treats gameplay footage as a genuine craft, not a checkbox in the marketing pipeline. For a senior professional looking to define standards and shape tools at scale, the scope here is real.

Apply now for the Expert In-Game Cinematographer role at CD PROJEKT RED and bring your production expertise to one of the most recognized studios in the industry.
