Job Type
Paramount is hiring an Executive Assistant to support the Head of Creative at their Los Angeles studio. This role sits inside the creative development division, where the work directly supports the executive oversight of content strategy and production across Paramount’s extensive network of film and television brands. It’s a strong fit for an experienced assistant who already knows how studio creative departments operate and wants a seat close to where development decisions get made.
About the Role
The Head of Creative runs a department that touches projects across Paramount’s broad slate, from feature film development to episodic television, and this assistant is the operational engine keeping that executive functional. A typical day involves coordinating meetings across multiple time zones, managing a calendar that shifts constantly, and interfacing directly with C-Suite EAs and Consumer Products leadership. The role is fully on-site in Los Angeles, which means being present, plugged in, and ready to move when priorities change.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex calendar and scheduling demands for the Head of Creative, coordinating across internal departments and external production partners simultaneously.
- Book and monitor detailed travel itineraries including flights, hotels, and car service, and brief the executive on logistics before and throughout each trip.
- Prepare agendas, capture meeting notes, and track action items across development meetings, including running conference room AV equipment and presentation logistics.
- Screen and route calls, emails, and physical correspondence, exercising discretion with confidential materials related to development projects and talent relationships.
- Process expense reports tied to production-related travel and business activities, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Manage special projects and department-wide communications, including maintaining distribution lists used across the creative team.
What You Bring
- Prior executive assistant experience inside a studio, network, or production company, ideally supporting a VP-level or above creative executive.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a senior executive’s calendar inside a studio development or production workflow environment.
- Comfort with AV and conferencing platforms used in studio meeting rooms, and proficiency with standard scheduling and communication tools.
- Experience handling confidential information related to talent, projects, or deal negotiations without exception.
- Ability to work autonomously, anticipate needs ahead of requests, and triage competing priorities without being directed to do so.
Why This Role
Paramount operates one of the largest content production ecosystems in the industry, spanning Paramount Pictures, Paramount+, CBS, MTV, Nickelodeon, and several other major brands, which means the creative department this role supports has genuine reach and influence. For an assistant looking to grow into creative development or studio operations, proximity to that level of decision-making is a real career asset. The company’s production volume and internal mobility make it one of the more concrete paths upward for support staff in the industry.
