About the Role
The Digital Video Producer I (Spanish) works within ESPN’s digital production workflow, turning around daily video content across YouTube and social platforms while also stepping in as the newsroom’s point of contact for daily assignments on a rotating basis. Projects range from pre-produced segments to live digital shows and from-site productions, all tailored for Spanish-speaking sports audiences. A typical day involves editing, coordinating with global content teams, reviewing performance metrics, and making real-time decisions about what gets made and when.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and edit daily Spanish-language digital video shows and segments formatted for YouTube and social media distribution, including live production.
- Semi-regularly oversee the full Digital Video newsroom shift, creating and distributing daily assignments across the content production team.
- Apply platform-specific knowledge of ESPN digital channels to drive reach and engagement across ESPN.com, the ESPN App, and social media.
- Monitor real-time engagement metrics and use that data to adjust content strategy and improve performance on digital video output.
- Manage one or more direct reports with a focus on long-term development, mentorship, and building accountability within the team.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners on content distribution tactics that reach new Spanish-language sports audiences.
What You Bring
- Minimum three years of media experience with a clear focus on digital video production and post-production workflow.
- Advanced non-linear editing skills across platforms including Avid, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut, or Quantel.
- Deep knowledge of soccer competitions including LaLiga, UCL, UWCL, LigaMX, UEFA’s top European leagues, Concacaf, FIFA, and Conmebol, plus working knowledge of MLB, NFL, and NBA.
- Full bilingual fluency in Spanish, written and verbal, with strong writing skills suitable for sports digital media content.
- Experience editing content to platform specifications across multiple social media channels, preferably within a mobile-first content environment.
