About the Role

The Casting Director works within the Disney Live Entertainment casting department, supporting productions across Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line, and select domestic and international parks and resort properties. On any given day, this person is running auditions, evaluating vocal and instrumental performers, coordinating with producers and creative leads on talent needs, and managing casting pipelines across several concurrent productions. The scope is genuinely broad, covering everything from intimate character experiences to large-scale live entertainment productions.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and cast talent across stage productions, special events, atmosphere entertainment, and filmed entertainment projects for Disney Live Entertainment.
• Assess musicians and vocal performers for technical proficiency, stylistic authenticity, musicality, and stage presence across a range of performance styles and disciplines.
• Partner with the casting team to manage talent pipelines that serve Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line, and other domestic and international resort properties.
• Collaborate with creative directors, choreographers, and producers to align casting decisions with artistic vision and production requirements.
• Apply sound professional judgment and organizational discipline to manage multiple casting projects simultaneously within a demanding live entertainment production schedule.
• Support filming projects that require on-camera performance casting, bringing an understanding of the differences between stage and screen performance evaluation.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience as a Casting Director or senior casting professional in live entertainment, theatrical production, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of evaluating musicians and vocalists across genres, with the ability to distinguish technical skill from performance quality in an audition setting.
• Credits spanning stage productions, live events, or theme park entertainment at a professional level.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with a proven ability to manage competing priorities across multiple productions.
• Familiarity with casting workflows that span both union and non-union talent pools.
