Audiovisual Production Assistant Intern

Job Position(s): Audiovisual Production Assistant Intern

EIC Experience Internship Canada is hiring an Audiovisual Production Assistant Intern based in Paris, Ile-de-France, France. This role sits within the marketing and communications team, producing video content across social media channels, marketing campaigns, and event coverage to support EIC’s international student mobility program. It suits someone currently training in audiovisual production, film, or digital content creation who wants real production responsibilities from day one rather than coffee runs and admin.

About the Role

The intern works directly inside EIC’s Paris office while collaborating remotely with the Canada-based team, which means exposure to cross-border digital content workflow from the start. Day to day, you are moving between pre-production planning, on-location shooting of interviews and events, and post-production editing for multiple digital formats. The content output spans short-form social media video, testimonial pieces, and promotional materials, giving you a varied slate rather than a single repetitive format.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and edit video content optimized for short-form platforms including Reels, Shorts, and TikTok, adapting cuts and formats to each channel’s specifications.
• Assist in organizing shoots from equipment prep through to on-set coordination, covering interviews, events, and internal production content.
• Handle post-production tasks including sound adjustments, subtitle integration, and content optimization across different digital distribution formats.
• Create supporting multimedia assets such as motion graphics, animations, and visual materials that complement the video content pipeline.
• Maintain and organize the team’s media library, keeping audiovisual resources catalogued and accessible across the France and Canada teams.
• Monitor content performance metrics to identify which formats and approaches are generating the strongest reach and engagement.

What You Bring

• Current enrollment in an audiovisual production, film, communication, or digital content creation program at degree or equivalent level.
• Hands-on comfort with video editing software and audiovisual production tools used in professional content creation workflows.
• A demonstrable visual sense, whether through a portfolio, student projects, or previous content creation work across social or digital platforms.
• Ability to manage several projects moving through different production stages simultaneously without losing quality control.
• Working knowledge of English sufficient to collaborate with the Canadian team on briefs, reviews, and feedback.

Why This Role

EIC connects students and young graduates with professional experience opportunities between France and Canada, so the content you produce has a direct impact on people making real career decisions. The role is structured to give interns genuine responsibility in the audiovisual production workflow, not a supporting position that keeps you off the actual work. Paris-based, internationally connected, and built around varied content output, this internship builds a real production credit across multiple formats.
