BruntWork is hiring a part-time Video Editor and Social Media Content Repurposer based in Arcadia, CA, to support the growth of @PoolBearLife across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. This is a post-production focused role centered on short-form content creation, video library management, and cross-platform social media workflow for an educational wildlife brand. It suits an editor who is comfortable owning an entire content pipeline independently, from raw footage organization through final platform-optimized delivery.

About the Role

The Video Editor and Social Media Content Repurposer works directly within the content and post-production workflow of @PoolBearLife, a wildlife education account built around bear coexistence and human-wildlife interaction. The role draws primarily from an existing video library stored in Dropbox, editing and reshaping that footage into platform-specific content on a consistent publishing schedule. A typical day involves pulling and categorizing footage, cutting short-form social media edits, and preparing YouTube uploads with optimized titles, descriptions, and thumbnails.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain a large Dropbox video library using a consistent file naming and categorization system that supports efficient post-production retrieval.
• Edit existing footage into polished short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Facebook, matching the established pacing, tone, and visual style of the @PoolBearLife account.
• Produce and publish longer-form YouTube content on a regular schedule, including basic SEO work such as titles, tags, descriptions, and thumbnail selection.
• Repurpose single pieces of source footage into multiple platform-specific edits, adjusting format, captions, and presentation to meet the technical requirements of each channel.
• Add captions, text overlays, music, sound effects, and transitions appropriate to each platform’s content conventions and audience expectations.
• Support general virtual assistant tasks including media inquiry research, collaboration outreach, and merchandise research, making up roughly 10% of total workload.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience editing short-form social media content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
• Proficiency in a professional video editing application such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut.
• Familiarity with platform-specific formatting requirements including aspect ratios, caption styles, and upload specifications.
• Experience managing digital asset libraries and maintaining organized post-production file structures.
• Ability to work independently within a Monday through Friday schedule, flexible between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm US Pacific Time.
