About the Role

The Animation Production Intern, DreamWorks Animation, Fall 2026 is embedded directly into either a feature or episodic television production, working under a Production Manager and learning how the department tracks, schedules, and communicates across the animation pipeline. This is not a shadow program. Interns handle real production tasks and are expected to manage competing priorities the same way a junior coordinator would. The program runs September 28 through December 3, 2026, at 24 hours per week, Tuesday through Thursday, in person at the studio.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Production Manager in tracking deliverables and maintaining production schedules across assigned feature film or television sequences.
• Coordinate communication between departments to keep the animation pipeline moving on schedule.
• Assist with the preparation and distribution of production documentation including shot lists, status reports, and meeting notes.
• Monitor and log production activity using standard office management software including Excel, Word, and Gmail.
• Help onboard and orient materials for new production phases as directed by production leadership.
• Participate in studio-wide intern programming including speaker series, career development workshops, and film screenings.

What You Bring

• Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate program, with graduation no more than six months prior to the program start date.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Gmail as baseline tools for production tracking.
• Demonstrated ability to stay organized and self-directed in a production-based environment without heavy supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interacting with staff at all levels of a studio hierarchy.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and available for the full program term, September 28 through December 3, 2026.
