Video Editor

Paramount is hiring a Video Editor at their Pyrmont, NSW facility, joining the broadcast and post-production team that serves Network 10 and its streaming platforms. This role sits across news post-production and programming, with daily output spanning edited packages for 10 News, reformatted international content, and assets delivered to both linear and digital platforms. It suits an editor who is comfortable moving between news workflow and broader production editing, and who wants to build their credits across a major Australian broadcast operation.

About the Role

The position is embedded within the Pyrmont production hub that supports Network 10’s free-to-air and streaming services, including Paramount+. Day-to-day work is weighted toward news post-production workflow, primarily ingesting, reformatting, and delivering international content for 10 News programs, with rotation across other programming and production projects. This is a permanent full-time role on a 7-day rotating roster, covering early and late shift bands across the week.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and deliver broadcast-ready content for News, Programming, and Production using Avid Media Composer and other non-linear editing systems.
• Manage media ingest, asset management, quality control, and distribution of News assets across the network, affiliates, and third-party suppliers.
• Prepare and adapt broadcast programs to meet technical and compliance standards across free-to-air, catch-up, and streaming platforms.
• Operate studio EVS systems including IP-Director, LSM-VIA, and X-File to support live studio productions and media archive and restoration.
• Contribute to pre-production and creative editing processes, ensuring all deliverables are accurate and on time to broadcast standards.

What You Bring

• Proven hands-on experience with Avid Media Composer in a broadcast or post-production environment.
• Working knowledge of video production workflows across linear television and digital streaming platforms.
• Experience with quality control and compliance processes for broadcast content delivery.
• Ability to maintain editorial accuracy and integrity under tight news deadlines.
• Flexibility to work a rotating 7-day roster including early mornings and late shifts.
