CG Supervisor (Expression of Interest)

Job Position(s): CG Supervisor (Expression of Interest)

Framestore is accepting expressions of interest for a CG Supervisor based in London, United Kingdom. This role sits within the CG department and spans advertising, episodic television, and immersive productions, with the supervisor owning the full CG pipeline from look development through to final delivery. It suits a senior artist and technical leader who is comfortable driving complex shots independently while managing and mentoring a team of CG artists across multiple project types.

About the Role

The CG Supervisor reports to the Heads of CG and works across a mixed slate of high-end VFX projects, moving between advertising, television, and immersive content depending on the production slate. Day to day, this person is balancing direct shot work, on-set supervision, and close collaboration with the 2D department to ensure creative and technical alignment from pre-production through post-production workflow. This is a new position within the London team, built to expand Framestore’s CG capability as the studio continues to take on complex, large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with creative leads during the bidding and pitching process, attending client meetings to assess feasibility and help secure new productions.
• Lead shot look development on complex sequences, setting the visual standard for the CG team across each project.
• Oversee technical VFX pipeline decisions for assigned projects, including on-set supervision when production requires a physical presence.
• Create high-level CG shots directly, contributing to the work rather than operating purely in an oversight capacity.
• Work with production teams on scheduling and resource planning, coordinating closely with the 2D department to maximise efficiency without compromising image quality.
• Mentor and troubleshoot for CG artists at various levels, helping the team develop technically while maintaining delivery standards.

What You Bring

• Proven credits as a CG Supervisor or senior CG artist on high-end advertising or episodic television productions.
• Deep working knowledge of industry-standard VFX software and rendering pipelines used in feature film production or premium content delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to lead look development and manage CG teams across concurrent projects in a studio environment.
• Experience attending on-set shoots and translating production requirements into CG deliverables.
• Based in the UK, as Framestore is currently considering only UK-based candidates for this role.

Why This Role

Framestore has a long track record delivering high-end VFX across advertising and television, and this position puts a supervisor at the centre of that work rather than the edge of it. The role carries real creative and technical authority, with direct involvement in both pitching and production execution across a genuinely varied project slate. For a CG Supervisor looking to broaden their scope across multiple content verticals within a single studio, this is a substantive step.
