Videographer/Editor

The San Diego Gulls Hockey Club, LLC is hiring a Videographer/Editor based in San Diego to join their in-house content production operation. This role sits at the intersection of field production and post-production workflow, responsible for shooting and cutting everything from social media content and marketing campaigns to in-arena game presentation and the team’s Gulls All Access series. It’s a strong fit for a producer-shooter-editor who’s comfortable owning projects end to end in a live sports production environment.

About the Role

The Videographer/Editor works across multiple internal departments including Marketing, Broadcast, Public Relations, and Game Operations, contributing to a content slate that spans digital platforms, broadcast programming, and live event coverage. On any given day, that might mean shooting a player interview at practice in the morning, cutting a promotional video in the afternoon, and supporting game-day production that same evening. The role requires someone who can manage their own production schedule and deliver finished content against real deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit original video content for social media, marketing campaigns, community events, and the Gulls All Access series, maintaining consistent brand standards across all deliverables.
• Manage full post-production workflow on assigned projects, including color correction, audio mixing, graphics integration, and platform-specific delivery specs.
• Operate professional camera systems, lighting rigs, and audio equipment across studio, arena, and field production environments.
• Support live game-day production by capturing footage and developing content for in-arena entertainment and fan engagement programming.
• Coordinate with Broadcast and Marketing teams to align video output with organizational campaigns and editorial priorities.
• Build and maintain an organized digital asset library, ensuring footage is catalogued and accessible for long-term production use.

What You Bring

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in videography, video editing, or video production, with a portfolio or demo reel that demonstrates strong visual storytelling.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with working knowledge of color correction and audio editing within post-production workflow.
• Hands-on experience with professional video cameras, lenses, lighting, and audio equipment in live event or field production settings.
• Prior experience producing content in a professional or collegiate sports environment is preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Broadcasting, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
