Coordinator – Scripted Programming

About the Role

The Coordinator, Scripted Programming works directly with development executives overseeing originals across AMC Networks brands including AMC, Shudder, Sundance Now, and ALLBLK, among others. Day to day, this person is the operational center of a busy scripted development office, tracking scripts and outlines, managing executive calendars, running staffing and director grids, and serving as the point of contact between the creative teams and internal departments like business affairs, legal, publicity, and marketing. The role also includes writing script coverage and giving notes on incoming submissions, so a genuine interest in story and scripted development is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and maintain all creative deliverables across the executives’ scripted television projects, including outlines, drafts, notes, and writer and director submissions.
• Manage staffing grids and director grids for active productions and developing projects within the AMC Studios slate.
• Coordinate Standards and Practices feedback between S&P and show creative teams, and work with EPs to circulate approved creative materials and metadata to internal departments.
• Provide script coverage and written notes on incoming pitches, writing samples, and IP submissions for the development team’s consideration.
• Handle heavy executive calendar management, including scheduling all show-related meetings, coordinating travel, and preparing materials for presentations and video conferences.
• Act as liaison between executives, their direct reports, and external creative partners, tracking follow-ups and ensuring requests across departments are completed.

What You Bring

• Prior experience in a scripted development, current programming, or studio coordinator role, ideally supporting VP-level executives or above.
• Working knowledge of episodic television development pipelines, including how scripts move from commission through production drafts.
• Demonstrated ability to write script coverage with analytical notes, not just plot summary.
• Familiarity with the television industry landscape, including key showrunners, writers, directors, and production companies active in scripted programming.
• Strong organizational skills managing multiple concurrent projects across a high-volume development slate.
