About the Role

The Streaming Production Assistant works directly with Producers and Associate Producers on CBS Sports Digital programming, which spans live studio shows, podcasts, highlights, and digital segments distributed across streaming, mobile, and social platforms. Day-to-day work runs across both the control room and post-production workflow, meaning this person moves between firing live graphics, pulling and editing video clips, and prepping content for distribution depending on what is on air. Shifts flex around the sports calendar, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and operate live studio graphics during broadcast using Ross XPression within an active control room environment.
• Capture, edit, and assemble highlights, one-plays, and interview clips using Adobe Premiere and other non-linear editing systems for same-day digital distribution.
• Encode and publish video content to CBS Sports Digital platforms following established technical and editorial standards.
• Screen and organize incoming video assets to ensure content is properly logged, labeled, and production-ready across digital streaming and mobile platforms.
• Prepare scripts, graphics packages, and video elements ahead of live programming in coordination with the producing team.
• Support breaking news coverage and special event production as assigned, which may require rapid turnaround outside of standard scheduling.

What You Bring

• A bachelor’s degree in communications, broadcasting, digital media production, or a related field is preferred.
• At least one year of experience in broadcast television, digital media, or video production environments.
• Working proficiency in Adobe Premiere and a solid understanding of video encoding concepts for digital distribution.
• Familiarity with graphics systems, particularly Ross XPression, is a meaningful advantage for this role.
• Strong knowledge of professional and collegiate sports across major and minor leagues, with a genuine interest in sports media.
• The ability to manage multiple production priorities under tight deadlines in a live production setting.
