A typical day might involve rigging a white-background product shoot in studio, then heading out to capture location footage timed around a client’s operating hours. No equipment is required, as MediaLab supplies the kit.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute studio photography productions including small and large product work, white-background setups, and e-commerce image sequences to client specification.
• Operate DSLR camera systems with full command of aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focal length, and frame rates across both photo and video capture.
• Set up and manage continuous and strobe lighting rigs, and handle sound recording using lavalier, shotgun, and boom microphone configurations.
• Plan and produce time-lapse sequences on location, including exterior shoots scheduled around early morning or late evening light conditions.
• Manage, secure, and organize cameras, lenses, and grip equipment across studio and location production days.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in the field, adapt to shifting shoot priorities, and deliver work that consistently meets commercial photography production standards.

What You Bring

• At least one year of professional photo or video production experience in commercial or editorial contexts.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects for post-production workflow and image finishing.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification is highly desirable for drone operations work.
• A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle for regular travel across the Saint Louis area and occasional out-of-state shoots.
• Ability to lift and transport camera and grip equipment up to 45 pounds.
• A portfolio or work samples demonstrating commercial photography or video production output across multiple formats or industries.
