The Multimedia Photographer and Video Editor is also responsible for maintaining the department’s digital archive and supplying finished assets across print, web, and social media channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Photograph departmental events, public health campaigns, and official functions for use across print publications and digital media galleries.
• Edit video footage through the full post-production workflow, from rough cut to picture lock, including colour grade and audio mix.
• Design and produce motion graphics to support campaign messaging across multi-format distribution channels.
• Handle sound design for video outputs, ensuring broadcast-appropriate audio quality across all deliverables.
• Catalogue, tag, and maintain a structured digital asset archive of all photo and video content produced by the department.
• Coordinate multi-format delivery of finished content for websites, publications, and social media in line with departmental communication schedules.

What You Bring

• A relevant qualification in photography, film production, multimedia design, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of three years of professional experience in photographic and video production, ideally across documentary, editorial, or corporate video production.
• Demonstrated competency in non-linear editing software and motion graphics tools used in professional post-production workflow.
• Practical experience with sound design and audio editing for video deliverables.
• A valid Code 8 or Code 10 driver’s licence, as field production requires independent travel to locations across Gauteng.
