Social Videographer (Shooter/Editor)

This role sits within the content production department, focused entirely on shooting and editing short-form social video built around the company’s original series slate. About the Role

The Originals team is the in-house group responsible for producing award-winning original programming across ProductionBase’s own channels. As the Social Videographer, you’ll be working directly off that production slate, creating short-form social content that extends each show’s life beyond broadcast. A typical day moves between field production, on-set capture around active shoots, and post-production workflow in the edit suite.

Key Responsibilities

• Shoot short-form social video content on location and on set, capturing behind-the-scenes, talent moments, and episodic television highlights for platform distribution.
• Edit all captured footage through a full post-production workflow, from rough assembly to final delivery, formatted for each social platform’s specs.
• Operate camera and basic grip equipment independently, including lighting setups suited to run-and-gun social production environments.
• Coordinate with the Originals production team to schedule shoots around active series without disrupting primary production.
• Maintain organized media management across projects, including file ingestion, project archiving, and asset handoff for the broader content team.
• Develop a consistent visual language for each show’s social presence that reflects the tone established in the original content production.

What You Bring

• At least two years of experience as a shooter-editor in a professional content production or broadcast environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, with working knowledge of After Effects for basic motion graphics and titles.
• A reel that includes short-form social video, episodic television support content, or digital series production.
• Comfort operating mirrorless or cinema cameras, with solid understanding of exposure, audio capture, and on-location lighting.
• Strong instincts for pacing and storytelling in sub-90-second formats built for social platforms.
