Key Responsibilities

• Generate original format ideas and develop them through successive drafts into pitchable concepts for the UK broadcaster and streamer market.
• Write treatments, one-pagers, and full pitch documents to a standard ready for commissioner meetings.
• Produce supporting visual and video materials for pitches, including sizzle reels and presentation decks using tools such as Premiere, Photoshop, or Canva.
• Research international unscripted formats, on-screen talent, and audience trends to inform the development slate.
• Contribute actively in format brainstorms and internal development sessions, bringing ideas to the table with clear creative rationale.
• Monitor the UK and international unscripted television and streaming landscape to track commissioning patterns and emerging format trends.

What You Bring

• Previous experience in development or production within unscripted television, at development researcher, development assistant producer, or equivalent level.
• Strong writing skills applied specifically to format documents, treatments, and pitch decks for broadcaster audiences.
• Editing experience in Premiere or comparable software is desirable, as is familiarity with design tools including Photoshop and Canva.
• Research ability strong enough to map international format markets and identify relevant talent across entertainment and factual genres.
• Full right to work and reside in the United Kingdom for the duration of the contract.
